The HEROES project was conceived to raise awareness about the environmental impact of dietary choices and foster a shift toward sustainable living and waste management. Recognizing the significant role of agriculture in the economy and with a focus on sustainable agriculture, HEROES brought together 40 individuals from five countries for a youth exchange in Greece. The project successfully balanced diverse participant motivations, ranging from enjoyment and camaraderie to a deep interest in learning. Activities were rooted in the eight key competences of the Youthpass framework, ensuring a holistic approach to skill development. The project's design included interactive sessions, games, cultural immersion activities, and reflection, achieving its goal of creating an international youth network and promoting sustainable practices.
