With this project we wanted to address the needs regarding young refugee integration and youth work, both from the perspectives of young refugees and from youth workers. Working in the refugee support and integration field is challenging because this sector has been rapidly growing in countries of Europe and around Europe. Involvement of a growing number of local organisations have been beneficial and supplementary to the work of UNHCR, international humanitarian organisations and governments, however, the expertise of local organisations has not caught up as rapidly as their involvement in the field. Main aims of this project were improved quality of youth work and promoted inclusion of young refugees in their new communities. According to the needs of involved organisations and their staff members, the objectives of this project were: * To increase the quality of refugee (especially young refugee) integration on an international level; * To promote young refugee social inclusion and acceptance in their new communities, as well as empower them and provide access to opportunities; * To significantly improve relevant competences (especially on humanitarian work ethics and principles, security, safety and protection, protection from sexual abuse and exploitation, protection of minors, inclusive work approaches, use of nonformal education and reflection, ect.) to 47 youth workers, volunteers and other professionals socially working with young refugees and enable them as multiplayers; * To promote cooperation and experience exchange between 14 organizations and 47 staff members (youth workers) of various countries that work with young refugees; * To produce and promote a booklet that can serve as a policy suggestion and supportive guide for youth workers engaged with young refugees; * To promote the use of Erasmus+ program as a tool to raise the quality in youth/social work and integration of young refugees.
