Digital Youth Work (DYW) is a term used to describe the use of digital tools and technologies in youth work. It involves incorporating digital tools into youth activities and addressing the role of DYW in the COVID-19 era. The project aimed to answer questions about the necessity of digital tools in youth work, the extent to which digital means are indispensable in everyday life, and the potential for youth to become addicted to digital devices. It also explored the role of Youth Work in mediating digital addiction and how it can be useful in this context. Surveys indicate that a significant majority of young Europeans spend an increasing amount of time using digital media and technology, such as communication and gaming. The digital environment has become a place for young people to learn, have fun, socialize, share experiences, and actively participate in society. Moreover, during the COVID-19 era, digital tools have enabled us to stay connected with friends, family, and work while maintaining safety. However, excessive consumption of digital media and reliance on digital devices can lead to addiction, particularly among young people. Our relationship with technology is becoming problematic, and addressing this issue is crucial. Digital dependency is a growing concern that primarily affects youth, as they increasingly detach themselves from the reality of everyday life. In this context, the "DYW & DYD" project aimed to highlight the importance of digital tools in the everyday and professional lives of Youth Workers. It explored the role of Digital Youth Work among young people. The project provided a platform for participants to discuss the role of digital technology in youth activities, share examples of DYW, and receive training on digital tools. The main goal was to enhance the knowledge of Youth Workers about DYW, its effectiveness in the current situation, and its potential for professional development. All project activities were designed to maximize participant engagement according to the non-formal learning framework and the Program approach. Our main achievement was the familiarization of the Youth Workers with the Digital Tools and the realization from their side, of the possibilities that they have using them.
