A clear vision to actively involve youth in decision-making processes and utilize their ability to shape policies within the context of the EU Youth Strategy 2019–2027 served as the driving force behind the NeedYOU project's implementation. The project aimed to "Engage, Connect, Empower" youth by providing them with a substantial role in the political scene at both the national and European levels. This was in line with Youth Goal #9: Space and Participation for All. Our main goal was to establish a dynamic, welcoming environment for young people who are passionate about enacting change and are between the ages of sixteen and thirty. With this project, the EU hopes to strengthen its relationship with youth by including young voices in policy-making in Greece and throughout Europe. By doing this, we hoped to inspire regional, national, and local stakeholder activities while enabling young people to actualize their dreams and mobilize policy tools at different levels. NeedYOU aimed to ensure young people's participation in democratic processes and everyday civic life by creating avenues for them to engage in civic society. Our goal was to enable young people from a variety of backgrounds to engage in meaningful civic, economic, social, cultural, and political engagement, with an emphasis on those who had less possibilities. NeedYOU aimed to serve as an example of young democratic participation in the EU by facilitating youth connections with European places of participation. One of our goals was to involve youth and youth organizations in the main planning, execution, and follow-up processes. Because the EU Youth Dialogue was directed by young people, it made sure that national youth councils were in charge of national working groups' stakeholders. Additionally, we sought to promote significant cooperation between the European Commission, the National Youth Councils of each of the three EU Presidencies, and the European Youth Forum. Another important goal was to ensure that the European Youth Goals are transparent and feedback-driven by making them more visible, quantifiable, and accountable. To guarantee meaningful engagement, we placed a strong emphasis on qualitative participation styles inside our methodology. Acquiring the requisite information and engaging pertinent decision-makers in the discussion was essential to guarantee educated and productive involvement. Furthermore, we aimed to increase the EU Youth Conferences' importance and position them as an essential component of the participation process. In order to ensure that all participants felt secure and inspired to work together to develop more inclusive "Spaces and Participation for All," it was crucial to establish safe and comfortable venues for conversation at an equal level. NeedYOU has effectively created a strong framework for youth involvement by accomplishing these goals, guaranteeing that young people play a crucial role in shaping policy decisions that affect their futures rather than merely participating in them.
