Both as a consortium and individuals we set couple of goals while we were still at the birth stage of the project idea. Creating Eleutheromania project we wanted to set a solid ground for the freedom of speech and critical thinking among youngsters, to raise awareness about the significance of the Voice of Youth in our societies and promote Erasmus+ opportunities and amazing initiatives to the Youth. Hundreds of young people fear to express their feelings and ideas, thousands of youngsters experience phenomena of radicalisation and we really wanted to develop a project where these young souls are going to feel Unity and Solidarity while being able to share open their thoughts and beliefs. At the same time we wanted to implement Eleutheromania project in order to gain significant knowledge at the management of Erasmus+ projects. Even though all of us have experience in this field, we had never worked in a Small Scale partnerships and we thought it is a great idea to kick off our activities within KA2 area. Apart from that we can easily say that we wanted to implement this project for ourselves. To learn, to come closer to Youth, to broaden our horizons as human beings and professionals.
It is a fact that several reasons pushed us to create this particular project and target specific ideas and activities. All of us have long experience in the field of European projects and we have a lot of friction with dialogue, pluralism and open communication of opinions and thoughts. What we had noticed in recent years is that in too many countries and even more in our own local societies there is a lack of freedom of expression, radicalization phenomena are flourishing and in general we realized that young people do not have practically space and time to express their concerns and desires. Knowing each other from previous programs and already having had excellent cooperation, we decided to create this project, where young people will be encouraged to think and speak freely, they will get global knowledge about extremism phenomena at European and national level, they will learn to express themselves more comfortably through activities of European programs and values.
