For this project we wanted to set more specific objectives than those of previous projects. We believe that, by working on few but very specific objectives, their development has been easier for the students. In the project that we are now closing, 3 objectives were set: English, Sports and Food. Within the dynamics of our center, we attach great importance (from the Infant stage) to food and sports. In Early Childhood Education, there is a fixed day a week in which students must bring some fruit for lunch and from the first year of Primary Education, from this year on, a piece of fruit and 1 small carton of milk are distributed to everyone. the one who wants In addition, with regard to sport, the school organizes different competitions (dance, 3x3 basketball, participation in the Usera Olympics, etc.) to promote sport among our students. Although it is true that the students are willing to participate, we need the motivation to be intrinsic and this has been failing a bit lately. This is why we wanted to give a great boost with this project and these objectives.
This project is the second project in which we mobilize students of our center thanks to funds from the European Union. Our school is located in the Orcasitas neighborhood, in the south of Madrid, it is a mainly working-class neighborhood of the lower-middle class. Within the possibilities of the students who come to our center, in practically no case can families afford to travel abroad. For most of our students it has been the first time they have left Spanish territory. Families see the fact that the school is participating in Erasmus+ projects as a great opportunity and all of them hope that their children can travel in the future with other projects that we will continue to present from the center.
