1. Improve students' English language proficiency. One important challenge for our organization is "improving educational outcomes." Enhancing students' communicative skills in English would contribute to achieving this overall goal of the school. 2. Increase the implementation of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) methodology. We believe that using this methodology would allow us to attend better the students’ diversity and to improve their skills in English. Despite having a high percentage of teachers with English language proficiency at B2 level or higher, there is limited implementation of CLIL methodology in our school. This situation could be improved if our teachers engaged in job-shadowing mobilities in foreign institutions in order not only to improve their oral skills, but also to learn different approaches and increase their confidence in implementing CLIL. 3. Promote citizenship values and critical thinking. Given the diverse backgrounds among our students, it is necessary to carry out activities that help them know citizenship values based on human rights.
Institut Cendrassos is a public high school that offers CSE, Baccalaureate and Vocational Training at both intermediate and advanced levels, located in Figueres, Girona, which has 1,055 students and 105 teachers. The students come from Figueres itself (80%) and the surrounding towns (20%). Due to the students' social composition and the school's location, it is recognized by the Generalitat de Catalunya as an educational institution of maximum complexity. Our high school has been organising group mobilities both for CSE and Baccalaureate for about 8 years. These mobilities were paid entirely by the students, which limited the participation of students with social needs. Moreover, the Vocational Training section of our school has been in Erasmus+ for 10 years, and individual mobilities for both students and teachers are carried out every year. In addition, we have hosted the Polish school SP im. M. Reja w Rejowcu for several years as a hosting organization within their Erasmus+ project. The organizer from that school encouraged us to submit our own Erasmus + project. Because of all this, and aiming to provide mobility opportunities for all our students, we decided to submit an Erasmus+ project for CSE and Baccalaureate.
