With this project we wanted to train ourselves and acquire new knowledge and skills through visiting European schools and training courses, so that we could easily extrapolate this content to our school. We hoped to work on the following objectives: 1. Inclusive playgrounds: in this case the key idea was to implement the coeducational playground in our centre. 2. Teacher training: we wanted to provide teachers with all the resources and conditions for their recycling and improvement. 3. Ecological culture: our main objective was to increase the use of the school garden and the knowledge of teachers and pupils in ecological culture.
Our school is located in Oliva and is part of a co-operative. It is located in a newly created residential area, which welcomes mainly local students, but also pupils from nearby towns. The linguistic context is mainly Valencian, although the language of social use of the pupils is Spanish. We have a wide variety of resources and facilities, such as specialised classrooms, school dining room, laboratories, gymnasium, library... The units we have are: Three Infant School Six Primary School Four of Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) Two Baccalaureate One dedicated to Therapeutic Pedagogy. With regard to the context of the project, entitled New training opportunities in Europe, we started the project based on needs and challenges such as improving awareness of the environment and the environmental impact of pupils' consumption habits; promoting the ODSs; improving digital skills; promoting co-educational and inclusive playgrounds and promoting new methodologies and teaching methods at the centre. This is why we have worked on 3 specific objectives: inclusive playgrounds, teacher training and promoting an ecological culture.
