Objectives

The IES La Albericia, as previously explained, has a varied educational offer in its compulsory section. According to the reports prepared by the teaching teams of these groups and by the teachers of the Guidance Department of the center, especially those related to Community Service, Hearing and Language and Therapeutic Pedagogy, this is due to the fact that, given the economic, social and cultural situation of the environment, part of our students present important social and academic deficiencies. For the center it is a challenge to establish strategies that allow the improvement of the communication, digital, academic and integration skills of these students, reducing the existing gap.

Background

The center offers ESO, Baccalaureate and Vocational Training. In the field of ESO, it offers a regular program, a bilingual program and two parallel programs for students with special needs. Compensatory Education is offered to students who come to school with great deficiencies, in many cases due to continued absenteeism. The program allows students to study in areas and train in fields such as catering and carpentry. PMAR is based on working by areas with small groups of students who have a curricular gap of one year. It works with small teaching teams. The center develops several programs related to sustainability: Bike Alberi, to improve the sustainable mobility of students and teachers, and Canstractions, for the reuse of materials in construction. The project is aimed at students in ESO programs, especially those with social and academic needs.
