Internationalizacion has always been a core idea in ur school. We are deeply implied in establishing long-lasting ties with counterpart centres abroad. The main objective of these relationships is getting to know other ways of working and carrying out specific activities that can have an impact in our school. Our main objetives are: 1. Create awareness in our students of food production and consumption. 2. Health and food security. Making students aware of the importance of a healthy diet. 3. Promote the knowledge of the European diversity and cultural heritage through our traditional dishes. 4. Strengthen the quality of teaching and professional development in school education by means of Job Shadowing and by sharing good practices. 5. Strengthening our mutual European links and international impact by connecting four schools in Europe. European citizenship and its values have been essencial all through the project and we have reinforced them by studying the common heritage that comes along with the different foods and diets in each country, as well as the mental and physical well-being provided by a healthy diet.
IES Pedro de Tolosa is a Public Secondary Education and Vocational Training School in the fields of Cooking and Catering, Healthcare, Electricity and Automotion. We also have basic vocational training studies in Cooking and Catering, Electricity and Electronics. The present number of students in our school is 800. We are currently carrying out several Erasmus+ projects in most of our courses. This program is specifically addressed to secondary and baccalaureate students, ranging from 12 to 18 years old, whereas in vocational training there is a wider range from 15 year olds in basic studies to adults. The students ages in our mobilities correspond to those in the host schools. They are usually focused, responsible, hard working students interested in languages and cultural exchanges. The Berlin mobility is destined to 3º ESO, while the Örebro mobility is addressed to 1º Baccalaurate students. The Number of students interested in participating in these mobilities has been incredibly high, much more than we expected, so that we had to make some changes to our initial estimation so that more students can profit from this experience. We will detail these changes later on.
