On the other hand, managing to develop methodological measures and strategies in our teaching staff to be able to promote more competency-based learning in our students, as established by regional, Spanish and European regulations, making an effective and efficient transition of our organization towards more active methodologies , addressing diversity in classrooms and inclusion. Everyone deserves quality education as indicated in goal 4 of the SDGs. Furthermore, the aim was to provide teachers with the necessary tools for the development of the competencies involved in the STEAM disciplines through methodologies such as (PBL, ApS) that involve a comprehensive and significant response from the students, in internationalization activities. As well as the lingüístic competence of teachers in English.

Background

The IES Agustín Espinosa is a public school education center. Its study plan covers Compulsory Secondary Education, Baccalaureate with three morning itineraries and Adult Baccalaureate in the afternoon. The profile of our families is lower-middle class, restaurant workers, a large percentage from countries outside Europe. It is located in the capital of Lanzarote, Arrecife, with a high environmental and cultural value as witnessed by the declaration of the island as a Biosphere Reserve in 1993 by UNESCO. With a strong tourist vocation, Arrecife exploits its environmental, heritage and cultural resources, sometimes not in the best way. Our institution began its journey in Educational Innovation 8 years ago, participating in different programmes such as the current EsTela, whose objective is to facilitate our students' transition from Primary to Secondary. Cooperative Learning, Shared Teaching, Service Learning (ApS), Interactive Groups, and the digitalization of classrooms. In addition, the participation and dissemination of everything learned inside and outside the school, sharing it with the educational community.
