Among the most important needs and challenges that our center faces, we highlight these 4 objectives as priorities: 1.- Improve teacher training in English Because our educational center must respond to the Multilingualism Plan set by the Department of Education of the Valencian Community, part of the subjects must be taught in English (Technology and Philosophy). 2.- Increase ICT training for teachers and students Training in new technologies is essential at all times, but even more so after a pandemic. 3.- Promote environmental awareness Our center allocates resources to raise awareness among the entire educational community, their families and the population of our town about the importance of taking care of our environment. Campaigns, talks, workshops, etc. are carried out. 4.- Help students in danger of social exclusion This objective is a transversal element of this project.
Our school La Salle Benicarló has a concern and an interest in participating in Erasmus projects. Since 2016 we have participated in 4 different European projects: Comenius, KA 229, KA 122 and KA210. Our center participated in a Comenius project 2014-2016 with the title My roots, my family, my future. Then in an Erasmus project KA229 Exploring Cultural Heritage for Entrepreneurial Development and now in 2022-2024 we are the coordinators of a KA210 ICANDO project and this KA122 project. The main objective is to be able to collaborate at the European level by carrying out mobility, exchanging knowledge and concerns and giving option to those students with fewer opportunities. We requested this KA122 project to be able to cover some of the objectives defined within the lines of improvement of our center: improve English training for teachers, increase ICT training for teachers and students, promote environmental awareness and help students in danger of social exclusion. We verified that the Erasmus KA122 projects offer a wide variety of actions that would allow us to work on all our objectives and for this reason we requested it.
