Our school aims to respond better to the challenges posed by multilingualism today and that the education that our teachers will acquire reverts in our students, in the first instance, and in the entire educational community, in general. Within the very objectives of the Centre Project, the main reason we undertake this path is to achieve the following general objectives: - Consolidate and improve the quality of our Language Program, and make teachers and students feel more comfortable with teaching non-linguistic subjects in a foreign language. - Promote the multilingualism and interculturalism that will drive the internationalization of our school, and that there are more students motivated to participate in European programs. - Learn good practices of the CLIL - CLILE methodology in other European centers through the mobility of our teachers, and that can observe good practices in relation to the organization and management of the center to maximize results. - Educate and raise awareness among our students who are part of a multicultural and multilingual society in which they can travel and learn.
The proposal of the Management Project from our school is to focus the efforts in which students reach an adequate level of knowledge of at least two foreign languages, giving special importance to the mastery of English, which is treated as an instrumental subject throughout ESO. The CLIL and GEP methodology is applied in most of the courses and across different subjects. Our centre is gradually becoming part of the Erasmus+ programme. The following activities were planned within the KA101 project: - An English course for teachers, held in July 2019. The course was called "Activate your English", and took place in a school in Dublin (Ireland), aimed at teachers with level B2 of English working with the methodology CLIL - AICLE. - A structured course of CLIL - AICLE, realized in the first fortnight of September of 2019 within the planned formation of center. - The course is called "CLIL in Dublin: Content and Language Integrated Learning", which would take place in Dublin (Ireland), and would be attended by teachers who teach their subject with the CLIL-AICLE methodology. The course lasted 10 days.
