Our project aims to improve educational inclusion, ensuring that every child, regardless of their background, is part of the learning community and can achieve their potential and their strengths and weaknesses are recognised. We point out four main objectives to achieve this objective: 1. Improve the digital skills of all members of the school community so that they can continue learning outside the classroom in an autonomous, appropriate and safe way, bridging the digital divide and promoting their autonomy. 2. Improve inclusion within the educational community, implementing measures to address different rhythms and ways of learning and students with special needs (through formative evaluation techniques, for example) 3. Improve the English language skills of students and teachers, encourage their certification and promote CLIL as an educational approach. 4. Improve the professional skills of teachers and multiply opportunities for teaching innovation and reinforce our European dimension, highlighting cooperation with other European schools as a unique learning experience.
Ours is a school with almost a 70% of students belonging to families of foreign origin and a high percentage having learning difficulties derived from socio-economic disadvantages and conditions like dyslexia, ADHD and ASDs. Our need for real inclusion is greater than ever and this project constitutes an attempt to improve four skills that may favour this goal, namely digital competence, formative assessment, innovation and plurilingualism. We aim at reducing the digital gap existing within our community by providing all its members with the necessary tools and strategies to use digital means in an effective and safe way. Techniques of formative assessment will help both teachers and students make the most of digital learning environments and in person activities with a view to be in control of the learning process, while innovative methods may help make such a process meaningful. Finally, plurilingualism is key both as a 21st century skill nd as evidence of the greatness within diversity.
