The participation in this project will open the Europe's doors to our small centre and students, our students do not have the social or economic opportunities to explore other cuntries and cultures. So, thanks to this plan they will be able to enjoy undreamed experiences for them. On the one hand, it will give the students who lives in our rural area, characterised by social difficulties, to become aware of their rights and neccesary knowledge to face their future lives and complex situations that will appear. On the other hand, this project will give them the chance to be inmersed in other cultures, ways of life and social standards that they would have never discovered without it. Thanks to this plan the students will improve their linguistic competence and will increase their skills for the interpersonal communication, that will enable them to make communicative exchanges in the futuro. The social and citizenship competence will be developed.
The project "Europe and its Sports Traditions" will enable the students to have the opportunity to undestand and value the characteristics of the different cultures, understanding and appreciating diverse styles of life while they do physical activity in a healthy way. Through the knowledge, exposition and implementation of the different traditional sports games of every town or region in the different countries, we pretend to establish bonds of unity respecting the uniqueness, boosting the sense of European Citizenship in its multiculturalism. The participation in this project implies, moreover, to share good practices as students and teachers, to strengthen the use of new technologies, and, provided that the vehicular language is English, to promote the learning of this language and its use in real contexts. By this plan, the sense of community will grow, as well as the co-responsibility among the students and teachers who participate.
