Through the implementation of the activities of this project, the teaching staff will observe good practices in terms of sustainable and environmental behaviour, through the school projects developed in the host organizations, to transform our organization into a school committed to the environment and to promote responsible attitudes and habits among the entire educational community. Likewise, students will be involved in more sustainable and environmentally responsible behaviour, both in the school itself and nature, through activities related to energy saving and waste separation, reduction and reuse and sustainable development, respect for the diversity of animals and plants and their ecosystems, to form responsible and caring citizens who can respond to the challenges of the 2030 Agenda. Finally, considering that the school wants to internationalize the project, teachers and students will improve their oral skills in foreign language learning by seeking new opportunities for communication in real contexts and thus develop their multilingual competence.
Our school follows the principles reflected in its Educational Project and as stated in the aims of the Ministry of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands and committed to the fulfillment of Agenda 2030, develops Environmental Education and Sustainability and School Garden projects, which promote environmental responsibility of the students. Our educational community has become aware of climate change and the risks it entails for our planet. Therefore, a change in the awareness of environmental care was necessary, in the separation, reduction, and reuse of waste and sustainable development. Hence, we will take advantage of the mobilities to get to know and observe initiatives that will help us transform our organization into a sustainable school and encourage attitudes and habits in our students to achieve respect, commitment, and care for the environment. On the other hand, the internationalization of this project will encourage the development of the communicative and multilingual competence of students and teachers, based on the search for new communication opportunities in real contexts.
