The main objective of the Erasmus+ project is to foster inclusion and appreciation for diversity through the knowledge of European heritage. This goal aims to recognize and value the cultural and socioeconomic diversity present in educational institutions and their communities. The aim is to ensure that diversity is seen as a value and not a threat, thus promoting an inclusive and respectful educational environment. The project also seeks to promote the internationalization of the educational center, improving the quality of teaching through the development of teaching competencies, with special attention to inclusion and diversity.
Our project is part of the IES Padre Suárez, a secondary education institute with a rich history and a diverse student body. The project focuses on promoting inclusion and appreciation for diversity through European heritage. Cultural and social diversity is a central element in the educational center, located in an area with varied socioeconomic levels. The project seeks to value this diversity as an asset, using European heritage to highlight the importance of different cultures. Within the IES, numerous actions are carried out that show sensitivity towards the project's themes (inclusion, diversity, and heritage), as well as others in line with the principles of Erasmus+. We developed the 'School Space for Peace' project (recognized as School Space for Peace + for its good performance, focusing last year on themes that united inclusion and environment), the Equality project, the 'Living and Feeling the Heritage' project, the Bilingual project, Educational Digital Transformation, among others.
