Objectives

The main objectives that we intend to reach with this project are the following: 1. To motivate our musicians with the participation in a European project increasing their creativity and their skills. A group of European teenagers will be collaborating for the passion to music. 2. To improve their knowledge of languages, especially English that will be the official language to communicate in this project. 3. To develop our students the ability to adapt our surroundings and to communicate with people who come from other cultures promoting inclusion. 4. To respect the environment appreciating silence as an essential part of music as a compulsory requisite for a conscious audition. A required axiom for the music to exist. Reduce noise. 5. To use in a creative, critique and secure way TICS and communication to develop work, learning, inclusion and participation in our society.

Background

The IES Tháder is a high school with a long history of participation in ERASMUS PROGRAMS and other SCHOOL EXCHANGE PROJECTS WITH CHICAGO AND METZ, in addition to implementing the EUROPEAN LANGUAGE PORTFOLIO and being a COLLABORATIVE DIGITAL MODEL CENTER. One of the priorities and hallmarks of our school is music. We have an ORCHESTRA AND CHOIR that enliven the cultural life of the center. Our challenge is to continue growing every day. Therefore, it is something we must care for and motivate. An example of this is the development of the TIMETABLE COORDINATION PROGRAM with the professional music conservatory in our city. "Music connects Europe" advocates for musical practice as a tool to improve academic performance and alleviate school failure, as these types of activities have been shown to be positive for the psycho-intellectual and social development of students. This project would contribute to this effort to improve not only the academic performance of students but also their emotional stability and social relationships. The Project with Estonia is an opportunity for cultural, musical, linguistic, and personal enrichment, as well as for creating a sense of European citizenship.
