Objectives

From equality, inclusion, European openness and attention to diversity, we aimed to improve the linguistic competence of students and teachers, participating jointly in the transmission and writing of stories. An experimental and creative work that stimulates the free expression of the imaginary world hidden in the depths of each being. We proposed to focus on oral and written comprehension and expression, communicating with people from other European centers in a practical and functional way, using the language in context and thus increasing motivation and knowledge of other cultures. Our most specific objectives were: to publicize the literary, cultural and heritage legacy of the countries involved (France, Estonia and Spain); make use of and raise awareness of European languages of communication (English, French, Spanish and Estonian); update the methodology used in the classroom, using digital tools throughout the entire process of these collaborative works, as well as introducing specific learning situations that promote interdepartmental work.

Background

This project started from a previous 2-year work, outside the Erasmus context, with the French center Collège Jules Ferry, with which it began to collaborate remotely in 2020, carrying out activities among students, around reading, analysis and creative writing. It was in 2021, where it was decided to delve deeper into the topic, requesting both centers in their respective agencies, an Erasmus+ project, to develop oral and written linguistic competence in foreign languages, the transmission of culture, history and the tradition of stories. and legends. To increase the impact of the project, our center decided to involve the Estonian center Kivioli I High School as a second reception center, collaborating in the construction of a small European story network, associating the three countries through mobilities and supporting another project on a small scale. European global program entitled ENST (European Network of Storytelling Towns), developed by the “Seminario de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil” association of Guadalajara, the University of Bratislava and the Maison du Conte de Chevilly-Larue, among others. The two reception centers for group mobility also received a subsidy and came to our center.
