With this participation, we wanted to consolidate previous results and strengthen other aspects that showed weaknesses: 1. to foster cooperation and intercultural dialogue between students and teachers from different countries. 2. To improve mutual knowledge of different European cultures. 3. To promote the learning of foreign languages and communication practices in a multicultural environment. 4. To promote social inclusion and equal opportunities. 5. To promote mobility and open-mindedness of the participants, favouring their ability to adapt to different environments and realities. 6. To foster the acquisition of new transversal skills and competences. 7. To stimulate interest in learning and motivate learners to continue their formal and non-formal education. 8. To contribute to the personal and professional development of the participants, broadening their horizons and future prospects. 9. To establish collaborative networks and partnerships with other European educational institutions, facilitating the exchange of good practices and long-term cooperation. 10. To promote the visibility and international recognition of the educational institution and the educational system of the participating country.
Our school is located in the Barriada de La Granja, in Jerez de la Frontera. It is an area with a diverse socio-economic and cultural level, where different neighbourhoods converge. This diversity is reflected in our student body, which is also very heterogeneous. In general, the limited purchasing power of families prevents our students from accessing educational resources beyond those offered at our school. As a result, their training has some weaknesses, and our participation in the Erasmus+ programme helps us to overcome these difficulties. In the specific case of high school students, the vast majority of them intend to continue their studies at university and have a good academic record. However, we detected difficulties in applying different concepts and skills, especially those related to transversal competences. As for teachers, we observed the need to update and adapt their training to an international context. The different participations in Erasmus projects are providing us with the necessary tools to overcome the challenges we face with guarantees.
