Background

"Re-thinking Education" is a project within the framework of the Improvement Plan by IES Avempace. It aims at giving an answer to the following questions: How could we design an Educative Project for our school (PEC is its Spanish acronym) in which diverse educational approaches are included? How could we awaken the board of teachers' curiosity and proactivity in order to motivate them to take part in a change through actual experiences and good practices that show their strengths? How could we generate a horizontal way of work that allows bottom-up innovation and synergies among departments? The European dimension is essential to deal with the re-thinking process that these questions generate which is based on the 2030 Agenda and particularly on the SDG 4 Quality Education, SDG 10 Reduced Inequalities and SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals. We do need practice education models that promote the role of students as the main agents of their own learning process.
