We had planned 5 goals, 3 of them are closely linked to the large number of mobilities that we have carried out with our VET students and that is the awareness for a common European framework of coexistence and to transmit to them the importance of this supranational entity that is the European Union. All the students on their return have told us that these mobilities have made them improve the perception that Europe is very big and diverse and that we have to respect each other. As a result of these mobilities, they have also been able to improve their skills of the English language, especially those who did the mobility in Dublin, and to a lesser way those who have done the mobility in Torino, where the official language was Italian but when they addressed their tutors they did so in English. The fact that throughout the 2022-2023 academic year we have carried out activities related to the Erasmus project has allowed us to significantly reduce disciplinary interventions, on average by more than 50% (Attached presentation of the final staff meeting in June 2023, pages 14 and 15). Finally, we hoped to improve the school pedagogically with new skills and knowledge learned by the teachers who have taken training courses.
The context of this project is that of a school accredited in School Education and with the ECHE letter in High Education, but when the two previous accreditations were requested, the accreditation of VET was not requested, so in the 2022 call this short-term VET project was requested. Later we were one of the few VET centres that achieved accreditation in Vocational Educational Training and in the 2023 call we have already received funds with this accreditation and presented a KA121 VET project. We have always been a VET school with a European vocation but until before this call we carried out very few mobilities and it has been through this call and as a result of the creation of an Erasmus Commission in our VET school that we have promoted the mobilities of our students and we have reached a record number of 13 student mobilities, 3 mobilities of accompanying teachers, 2 teacher training courses and a preparatory visit. Therefore, we have made a quantitative and qualitative leap in the number of mobilities, much higher than the mobilities we carried out before the outbreak of COVID.
