Colegio San Juan Bautista is a Salesian is a Salesian educational centre for Infant and Primary Education, ESO, Baccalaureate, Basic Vocational Training, Intermediate Vocational Training and Employment Training for the unemployed. It is located in a neighbourhood of Madrid, Tetuán, a multicultural neighbourhood, with a disadvantaged social and economic situation and below other neighbourhoods of the city. We take in students mostly of foreign descent. We currently have students of more than 17 different nationalities. The beneficiary students belong to the professional families of Pharmacy, TCAE and Care for Dependency. The average age is 19 years old, generally, this profile presents problems in the family environment, low self-esteem, previous experiences of school failure and a low socio-economic background. As an organisation, we seek educational excellence and equal opportunities, which is why the Erasmus programmes are fundamental to fulfil our objectives of inclusion and to promote the employability of student profiles that start with fewer opportunities so that they can become professionally competent professionals with a European outlook.
