The Nicolau Copèrnic Institute has been promoting mobility for our students to carry out internships in European companies since 2007. With the time spent abroad, the students validate one of the subjects of the cycle, specifically, Training in Work Centers (FCT). Thanks to this opportunity, our students can improve their knowledge about a foreign language, normally English, and also to improve their technical skills. But something that is more important for us is that they can experiment a personal grow thanks to work and live in a foreign country and take care of themselves about all their experiences, cooking, shopping, interacting with other cultures, etc.
We are a High School where we offer 4 different studies: ESO, Bachillerato, Vocational training (the scope of this project) and adult education. Our students are from 12 to 25+ years old. On the scope of this project, the students are from 16 years old, and normally are on 17 or 18 when they start the mobility activities. We have been participating with Erasmus from 2010 and from the beginning we have been organizing mobility activities to help our students to do in company internships with the objective to help them to grow person and professional.
