The objectives we aimed to achieve by executing the project were: Promote the training in competencies and lifelong learning of the participants. Improve the professional competencies of the teaching staff. Enhance the employability of students and increase their motivation to continue their professional development. Increase the attractiveness of our intermediate level vocational training educational offer and its projection at the local and regional levels. Continue the process of internationalization of the center.
The IES Isla de la Deva is a publicly funded Educational Center, located in Piedras Blancas, Castrillón council, in an industrial area in the center of Asturias. It offers Compulsory Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, and Vocational Training. In this field, it has Intermediate Level Training Cycles (CFGM) in three Professional Families: Electricity (CFGM Electrical and Automatic Installations, both in-person and distance learning, IEA), Installation and Maintenance (CFGM Heat Production Installations, in-person mode, IPC), and Health (CFGM Auxiliary Nursing Care, both in-person and distance learning, CAE). These three training cycles in their in-person mode are within the scope of this application. Within the framework of Higher Education, our Center offers in-person Higher Level Training Cycles in the Health Professional Family. The students of the CFGM, to whom this project is directed, have a very heterogeneous profile, not only in terms of age but also in terms of interests and motivations for study, employment situation, family situation, and previous level of education.
