Objectives

One of the main objectives of the center, within its development plan, is to ensure the employability and personal growth of students through educational plans implemented in our school, largely supported by international activities, where the Erasmus+ program stands as a cornerstone. To achieve this goal we aim to involve all students and staff in an internationalizing program, turning students into participants in Erasmus+ projects that boost their level of professionalism, skills and transversal abilities, serving as role models for staff and future students of the school. The primary objective in carrying out this project is for students to gain significant international work, professional and educational experience, providing them with a broader perspective on companies and their customers in a fully globalized business environment. The internships will allow them to add a competitive advantage to their resumes, facilitating their access to the work and professional environment in our country.

Background

Our Erasmus+ experience began in 2016 when we started collaborating in consortia led by other schools in the province of Valencia. Now, we have successfully culminated our third independent project. ECOTUR stands out as the first Hotel-School specialized in Hospitality and Tourism recognized by the Conselleria de Educación. This distinction allows us to provide training cycles of formal vocational training with the aim of expanding academic opportunities in the hotel and gastronomic branch in the Valencian Community. Our institution is based at the prestigious Hotel Olympia in Alboraya, which allows us to provide high quality facilities while students are immersed in the pace and real demands of a kitchen with intense activity and a high level of demand. As of the date of this report, we have successfully carried out two KA122 projects, in addition to the one mentioned in this report. We have also just received the ECHE letter authorizing us to offer Erasmus+ projects to our higher degree courses, and we have applied for KA120 accreditation.
