This project was conceived to achieve the following objectives: Firstly, initiate internationalization projects in the field of Intermediate and Basic Vocational Training, creating an organizational structure that allows the sustainability of such projects over time. Secondly, provide students in these educational programs with the opportunity to apply their professional skills in an international context, thereby expanding their horizons and life expectations. Thirdly, promote essential personal skills in students within the professional realm, such as communication skills in intercultural contexts, teamwork, problem-solving, adaptability to new situations, and more. Fourthly, enhance the employability of students, as international work experience contributes to better professional and personal training for the job market. Finally, offer the teaching staff in Intermediate and Basic Vocational Training the opportunity to undergo training and methodological updates through Job Shadowing activities and/or courses.
This project is aimed at students in Vocational Training at the Intermediate Level and Basic Vocational Training at our center. It is the first time that an internationalization project is being carried out in Vocational Training. The organization already had experience in implementing Erasmus projects in School and Higher Education, but the lack of personnel willing to take on the leadership and coordination of these projects had prevented their implementation until now. The center offers various Intermediate Level Vocational Training programs such as Commercial Activities, Administrative Management, Electrical and Automatic Installations, and Care for People in Situations of Dependence. Additionally, there are two Basic Vocational Training programs: Administrative Services and Electricity and Electronics. This project was requested with the aim of providing our students with the opportunity to undergo training that goes beyond mere professional skills. The linguistic, personal, and social immersion in another culture will equip them with competencies in the personal realm that are not acquired within the educational center. It is worth noting that these students often come from social strata with limited education.
