The Rosalía de Castro Plurilingual Secondary School is a public school located in Santiago de Compostela (Galicia). In addition to the educational levels (both ordinary and adult) of Compulsory Secondary Education, Baccalaureate and the International Baccalaureate Diploma, our centre also offers Vocational Training in four higher cycles in three professional families: Hospitality and Tourism, Physical and Sports Activities, and Sociocultural and Community Services. With this training offer, our centre can participate in the Erasmus+ Programme through the Higher Education sector. In our organisation, we enjoy the advantages of having the ECHE charter since 2014 and the KA120 Accreditation in the school education sector since February this year. Moreover, for the first time, we are participating in a KA220 SCH as partners and finalising a KA 122 SCH. With this project, therefore, we intended to advance in our firm process of internationalisation of the educational centre through the different activities proposed: On the one hand, to continue with the implementation of quality practices in European partner centres related to the studies carried out by the students of our institution and on the other hand, with the implementation of mobilities for the staff, teachers in this case, to participate in activities of Learning by observation to improve educational and linguistic competences and that will result in the improvement of the educational quality of our organisation. Among the objectives we had set ourselves with this project and following the line of the previous ones, we can highlight the following: -To promote the idea of Europe and European identity. -To promote cooperation and good practices between our institution and host companies/partners. -Promoting the visibility and prestige of our educational institution. -To contribute to the development of personal and professional competences of all participants, including linguistic and intercultural competences. -To improve the pedagogical, digital, methodological and linguistic competences of the staff of our educational institution. -To enrich the curriculum of the participants by expanding study and work opportunities in a foreign country. To help students to learn about other socio-economic realities and to adapt to the changing requirements of the labour market in the EU. A total of nine mobilities were carried out, five of which were for second year students of our degrees to carry out their Workplace Training (FCT) in different companies in Portugal, Belgium and Malta and the other four were for teachers for training through a Job Shadowing activity in Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands and Hungary. The student mobilities were of 75 days and the mobilities for teachers of five days. We would like to point out that the mobilities were all completed last academic year, in June 2023, and that once again, more than 20 students were left on the waiting list due to the flood of requests for applications to participate in the project. Thanks to the mobilities for their internships, our students were able to get to know other socio-economic and labour management realities related to their professional family and three of the five participants were offered to stay in the companies where they did their internships. As for the mobilities of the teaching staff, the four teachers were able to participate and learn from other educational realities through observation in educational centres and European institutions in Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal and Hungary, which meant an experience of pedagogical and methodological enrichment for all of them. The overall assessment and the result of carrying out this project has been very positive. We consider that thanks to it, the prestige and visibility of the centre has been reinforced. The image of our institution and its projection at local and global level encourages us to continue along this path.
