Objectives

The KA131 Erasmus+ project is part of the internationalization strategy of Universidad CEU San Pablo. Its goal is to increase outgoing mobilities for students (both for studies and internships), faculty, and administrative staff, thus contributing to the internationalization of the institution. This has been made possible through the signing of new Erasmus mobility agreements and the expansion of mobility slots with existing partner universities. The project facilitates that any student, regardless of their degree, can opt for an Erasmus mobility for studies and/or internships. These mobilities can be of long or short duration, with the short-term ones being part of the Blended Intensive Programmes. These programmes combine the collaborative online experience with a short mobility stay, allowing students with fewer economic resources or greater academic difficulty in undertaking a long-term mobility to enjoy a mobility stay. A total of 52 participants were able to do mobilities thanks to the Blended Intensive Programmes coordinated by Universidad CEU San Pablo. Additionally, these programmes promote the collaboration with partner universities from an alternative perspective to traditional long-term mobility. Through the project, it has been possible to help 156 students with economic barriers to participate in an Erasmus mobility, providing them with the opportunity to enrich their academic and personal training. The KA131 project also offers teachers the opportunity to teach at various institutions or undertake training mobilities, acquiring new pedagogical tools. The University's Administrative and Service Staff have benefited from training mobilities, acquiring good practices and improving their language skills. Additionally, the project has enabled internal internationalization actions, such as translating the website and intranet into English, French, and Chinese, and implementing bilingual signage on campus. The CEU Global Club has facilitated the integration of incoming students, promoting interaction with outgoing students and giving greater visibility to the Erasmus+ programme. Numerous monthly activities have been organized for this purpose, largely funded by the KA131 project. The internationalization of CEU values is another strategic line of the Vice-Rectorate for Internationalization, reflected in the continuity of the CEU Forward Ukraine Plan. The KA131 project has allowed the reception of a Ukrainian student, beneficiary of a long-term Erasmus scholarship. The visibility of the KA131 project actions has been achieved through the organization of international fairs for students, the celebration of International Weeks for teaching and non-teaching staff, the dissemination of the Erasmus+ programme through the university's communication channels (emails, newsletter, social networks, intranet web, and press), and participation in international forums and fairs such as EAIE and NAFSA.
