Objectives

Our institution, I.E.S. SANTA MARÍA LA REAL, is a teaching center located in Aguilar de Campoo, in the northeastern area of the Province of Palencia, in the Autonomous community of Castilla y León. The area in which it is located is called “Montaña Palentina” and it is an area that has, like many of this Autonomous Community, a problem of depopulation, a fact that determines many of the decisions made by its inhabitants. In our Institution, Secondary, Baccalaureate, and Vocational Training Training Cycles are taught at all levels and of course Higher Education, which is precisely where Erasmus mobilities have had the most success both among students and teachers compared to Training teachings. Professional of other levels. From the first beginnings of our journey with this Training / Learning program, it was clear that we had to start our Europeanization strategy and internationalization, so that both students and teachers discovered that the Erasmus program is not only available for university education, but also It is for vocational training. The people of our Institution have been requesting successive projects year after year and have always had a clear objective: to manage the mobility of students (Mobility for internships) and the mobility of personnel (Training or Teaching) in institutions abroad in the number stated in the grant agreement and always trying to ensure that mobility allocated were used in their entirety. For this 2022-24 project, our Erasmus + candidates (students and staff) who were selected chose the countries where they have done the mobilities taking into account On the one hand, it takes into account the affinities of our educational systems, our structure and, on the other hand, especially for the students, they have focused on the linguistic competence that It significantly facilitates your mobility. Initially, our project met the requirements, including compliance with the conditions of non-discrimination, equal opportunities and transparency. Actually, the mobility of the teachers has met the objective in its entirety, but it is fair to say that the mobility of the students has not been covered in its entirety. leaving some deserted. The students, two for the 2022-2023 academic year and 4 for the 2023-24 academic year, have acquired all the skills for their employability in the labor market, although it must also be recognized that our students, in a small percentage, see this improvement in the long term and not immediately as they would like. Point out that these students have achieved an improvement in the level of competence linguistics, level of knowledge and practical skills. The students who carried out the mobility in the 2022-23 academic year were students of the Training Cycle of Electrotechnical Installations and that year there were no students of the Training Cycle of Business Administration who decided to be part of the project and both carried out the Mobility in the company MI INSTALATIONS located in Malta. During the 2023-24 academic year, on the contrary, the four students who decided to use the mobilities were from the Administration and Finance Training Cycle and did them in three different companies HERITAGE MALTA, RETAIL RETAIL INTERNATIONAL GROUP AND JMC REAL STATE Regarding training mobilities, they have been carried out in both Malta and Portugal and the benefits have been high, both at the level of the participants since their skills, especially linguistic and training skills, have been increased, as well as for our Institution itself, benefits that will be seen during the following courses. The Erasmus + program provides us, as an institution, with increasing internationalization and better support for international cooperation and the strengthening of our own. institution with other higher education institutions abroad, the connection with practice through internships, strengthening the quality dimension of the mobility, supporting the creativity and innovative approach of staff and transferring their knowledge to the curriculum or more precise feedback on a regular basis by part of the project participants. Local companies (as well as potential future employers) and especially one of the most powerful companies in the town, Galletas Gullón, are informed about the results of the project based on the dissemination of information, but they are the first to encourage our students to participate in this program since they are aware, like our institution, that allows us to improve the skills of our students and staff.
