With this Higher Education mobility project, the IES Cosme García intended that the two Higher Education Vocational students in the areas of Risk Prevention and Administration and Management could acquire complementary training by carrying out their FCTs internships in a work institution of their specialty in a country of the European Union (Italy) and, with this activity, the students could provide their training with the internationalization that would have been missing if they had done their internships in Spain. Furthermore, we wanted the students to develop their autonomy and learning capacity, having to survive outside their comfort zone. We wanted this experience to shape them personally and make them tolerant, respectful and understanding with other realities, more capable of valuing diversity and also giving them a greater capacity for positive appreciation of other social, economic and cultural realities. Moreover, it would make them sensitive to the environmental problems and challenges that we face, as a global society. In other words, to make them European citizens in the deepest meaning of the term.
