This project was submitted in 2022 with the aim of funding activities to be implemented mainly in the academic year 2023-24, given that funding was available from the previous Erasmus+ KA131 project, requested in 2021 for the mobility activities of the academic year 2022-23. The main objective of the project was to fund mobility activities of students and staff of the Universidade de Vigo, as well as to allow international students to study in our institution and foreign staff to visit us to teach or receive training and exchange good practices. The mobility flows included in this project would not have been possible without the support of the Programme. Another objective, in line with the priorities of the programme, has been to enhance the participation of students and staff with fewer opportunities and to help participants acquire transversal competences, learn more about other cultures or improve their digital skills, which will contribute to greater employability and reduce the current gap between the university and the job market. From the beginning of the project, the aim has also been to allow the participation of students from all our degree programmes and in particular to promote the participation of PhD students with a specific call for applications, fostering research and technological innovation, the possibility of obtaining a PhD with an international mention and also, in addition to increasing the traditional long-term mobility, to be able to carry out short-term mobility, more feasible for students who cannot travel for long periods of time. The project has also had the participation in Blended Intensive Programmes as one of its main objectives. Although we did not apply for any BIP as coordinating university, the participation in this type of programme with our partner universities was highly promoted, contributing to the dissemination and informing potential participants on how to participate in the calls made ad hoc, mainly for students. The implementation of all these mobility activities represents a significant increase in the internationalisation of all the faculties and schools of the Universidade de Vigo, as well as of the participants themselves, for whom this project translates into an option to acquire transversal competences, both in the academic field and on a personal level. The improvement of language skills is, in particular, another of the objectives of this project: language courses have been organised, as well as other activities for the promotion of languages and cultures, and innovative initiatives have been launched, thanks to the collaboration of international participants.
