Objectives

As part of the Autonomous University of Madrid, the La Salle University Center has been acting under its Erasmus charter for the past 30 years. The introduction of the EWP programme by the European Union has presented us with an opportunity: to apply for our own Erasmus Charter and to be autonomous in the management and financing of the programme. The Erasmus E Charter has MADRID235 been a before and after in the mobility of the Centre. The Erasmus 2022 project has been the first in which we have developed Erasmus mobility in a completely autonomous way, so it has meant a resounding change in the organisation of mobility and sub-processes that we will describe later. It is important to note that the objective of the International Relations Area during the 2022-2023 academic year in which we have developed the Erasmus 2022 project mainly, has been to maintain the quantity and quality of the mobility processes from our own resources and to successfully become independent from the Autonomous University of Madrid in terms of mobility management and financing. The challenge of the 2022-2023 academic year was to issue the calls for mobility through the CSEU La Salle autonomously. Likewise, to execute for the first time the funding of the European Union and the Ministry of Education to distribute the Erasmus scholarships, which has amounted to 104,620 euros. In order to contextualize, it should be said that the Strategic Plan of the International Relations Area 2021-25 articulates its internationalization strategy around four axes: 1. To continue to be present and increase international cooperation within the International Association of Lasallian Universities (IALU) worldwide and the Comenius Association in Europe. 2. Promote an international culture on campus. 3. To promote international staff mobility. 4. To promote the international mobility of students. The Erasmus Programme plays a central role in the development of the actions that derive from these four axes and that are developed in the 2022 project: 1.1. Continue to collaborate with partner universities at different levels: research, training, innovation, evaluation, joint projects... 1.2. To facilitate knowledge of the proposal of the La Salle University Center within the organizations of which we are a part. 2.1. Internationalize the curriculum through virtual mobility. 2.2. Involve more foreign participants on campus (staff and students). 3.1. Promote a plan for the creation of International Networks with the Faculty of Health Sciences. 3.2. Schedule minimum international stays for academic staff. Design itineraries. 3.3. Recruit new teachers and administrative staff, also taking into account linguistic criteria. 4.1. Design a more efficient communication system for students (Web, social networks, information screens, etc.). 4.2. Establish student mobility objectives by Faculties. The target groups of the mobility are undergraduate and master's degree students for studies and internships and academic staff for teaching or training purposes, a total of 3,100 possible beneficiaries, if we take into account outgoing and incoming students and virtual, face-to-face and at-home mobility. Quantitative objectives are set out below starting from the 19-20 academic year, which was taken as a reference for the application for the Erasmus Charter and in which the 2022 project is the first of a long road: In terms of the number of beneficiaries of physical mobility, the international relations area managed a total mobility of 111 places in 2019-20 (93 students and 18 staff). The Faculty of Education had an outgoing mobility of 4% of enrolled students (32 students in the 2019-20 academic year) and we expect to reach a mobility of 6% of enrolled students in 2024 (50 students) and 8% in 2027 (67 students). The outgoing mobility of the Faculty of Health was 1% of the enrolled student body (8 students) and we hope to reach 3% in 2024 (18 students) and 5% in 2027 (30 students). With regard to mobility outside Europe, only 10% (1-3 students each year) of outbound mobility choose a university outside Europe as a destination. The inclusion of universities from the 3rd countries in Erasmus destinations has increased interest among students and staff and we therefore hope to double mobility by 2024 and triple it by 2027. If we focus on the staff, in the 19-20 academic year only 4 teachers participated (5% of the staff). We plan a mobility of 10% (20 employees) for the 2024 academic year and 20% (30 employees) in the 2027 academic year.
