Objectives

Institut Escola Municipal de Treball (EMT), with more than 100 years of history, is a public secondary education and vocational training school, owned by the City Council of Granollers. Convinced that in today’s Europe, quality education must consider ways of working and living beyond the student’s usual environment—an objective for which the Erasmus+ program is ideal—we continue this mobility project with a firm commitment to the modernization and internationalization of the center, especially in the field of Higher Education and Vocational Training (VET). It should be noted that the center participated in the Erasmus+ program for the first time in the 2016 call and previously in other European programs, such as Comenius and eTwinning. Over the years, other KA1 and KA2 projects have been carried out within the framework of higher education, vocational training, and school education. Undoubtedly, with this project, we continue with the desire to consolidate and expand the internationalization of our organisation, in line with our strategic plan for external projection and in accordance with the fulfillment of the ECHE charter, responding to the priorities of the program. Our center stands out for its close connection to the labor market and its dedication to training young people as active agents in local and regional development. For this reason, this project aimed to promote high-quality higher education through traineeships in companies abroad linked to various professional sectors within our organization. Taking into account the socio-economic context, the fields taught at the center, and the needs identified throughout the years of implementing international projects, the following specific objectives were established: - Promote our European dimension of education by fostering cooperation between institutions. - Expand our institutional educational offer. - Strengthen collaboration between academia and business, and their respective needs, by establishing and forging bridges and synergies. - Complete the process of acquiring quality training and promote effective and specialized professional traineeships abroad. - Offer opportunities for improvement, curricular and/or pedagogical updates, and continuous training for teaching staff in an international environment. - Strengthen and expand our network of partners through the diversification of destinations and activities. - Provide participants with an opportunity to improve their language skills or learn a second foreign language. - Enhance the professional skills of participants and ensure their recognition. - Promote entrepreneurial spirit to create more autonomous and sustainable societies, thus contributing to their decision-making processes. - Increase the job placement opportunities for our students, thereby improving their future employability. - Raise awareness in our educational community of the importance of carrying out international actions that contribute not only to their professional and personal growth but also to the understanding of new realities and cultures, increasing the values of citizenship, and addressing aspects related to the European perspective, exchange, and socio-cultural integration to promote inclusion and diversity. - Contribute to local, regional, national, and European economic development through the execution of these actions.
