The University of León through the Vice-Rectorate for Internationalisation implements this project as part of its active policy of internationalisation of its university community, and in the framework of its Erasmus+ Policy Statement issued on the occasion of the application for its Erasmus Charter for Higher Education published on our institutional website. The objectives are to encourage participation in mobility programmes to facilitate education and training based on both formal and non-formal learning, to equip young people and participants of all ages with the qualifications and skills necessary for meaningful insertion in a democratic society, intercultural understanding and to help manage successful transitions in the labour market. We have succeeded in increasing the internationalisation of the entire university community by promoting the participation of students and staff in mobility and international cooperation programmes, as well as enabling academics to positively address the goals set by Horizon 2030 and thus ensure the principles of equality, prosperity and social inclusion. Our institution has as a priority objective the internationalisation of the university community by promoting the participation of students, lecturers and administrative and service staff in mobility and international cooperation programmes. A determining factor in the internationalisation process is the University of León's commitment to international mobility programmes. European programmes such as Erasmus+ KA131 have enabled the University of León to strengthen its capacities and establish new channels of collaboration that increase the internationalisation and capacity for intercultural understanding of our university community. The study mode aims to enable Bachelor, Master and PhD students to increase their employability by acquiring key competences during their international stays, which they would not be able to acquire without physical mobility and real contact with other educational, social and cultural contexts. For teaching staff, the benefits are tangible as the exchange of expertise and experience on pedagogical methods is fostered while consolidating links between partner universities, international research is increased and international contacts are strengthened through joint projects and publications, and any knowledge and methodology gained through mobility can have a favourable impact on their teaching of local students. Staff gain knowledge of good practices and tools that increase the efficiency of their work, as well as the acquisition of additional language and social skills that result in a more inclusive and internationalised service provision, favouring the transfer of knowledge and competences, and the acquisition of skills in general, in their areas of work.
