The IES ‘VIRGEN DE LA CALLE’ of Palencia (Spain), is an official public high school, dependent on the Consejería de Educación de la Junta de Castilla y León in which are taught among other teachings the Formative Cycles of GS of the professional families of Administration and Finances, Commerce and marketing and Hotel and Tourism. The higher grade cycles taught at the institute are: International Trade, Transport and Logistics, Guide, Tourist Information and Assistance, Kitchen Management and Management Assistance. It is an institute with a long and consolidated Erasmus+ trajectory, as since 2007 the institute has been participating in the Erasmus programme by sending students to carry out the compulsory FCT module in companies in different countries of the European Union. Since the academic year 2011-2012 we have been managing the Erasmus+ programme as individual beneficiaries and we manage the mobilities granted. In the 2022 project, 10 mobilities have been carried out, broken down as follows: - 6 mobilities of staff (Learning by observation) - 4 hosting of students to carry out their FCT module. The management of this project has been VERY POSITIVE. We have had many interested students, finally due to dates, we have mobilised 4 students. The degree of satisfaction of these students has been HIGHLY SATISFACTORY. It should be noted that initially there were many students interested in the programme, but for economic reasons many of them had to drop out. Regarding the budget, 94.11% has been executed, which shows the high level of execution. The main objective of the Virgen de la Calle Secondary School is to promote internationalisation in the high school, offering mobility to students to carry out the compulsory ‘FCT’ practical training module in companies in other countries, to teachers to improve professionally and also, we are strongly committed to the inclusion of students with fewer opportunities. As more specific OBJECTIVES we set ourselves: - Optimise the level of skills and competences of future professionals and ensure that our students graduate with extra academic training. - To develop key competences and soft skills as well as other relevant subjects such as sustainability, developing strategies and methodologies of ecological skills. - To consolidate mobility in the high school as an important tool for the enrichment of students and teachers. To provide an instrument to promote within the educational offer the learning of European languages, intercultural awareness and the development of an awareness of European citizenship and identity among teachers and students. - To be a reference in our Autonomous Community in offering Erasmus internships in our quality teaching in the families of Administration, Commerce and Tourism. With this project we have continued with the culture of internationalization in our centre started in 2017, we have several counterpart partners, companies and contacts in Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Italy, Bulgaria, Ireland and Austria. We wish to promote considerable changes in the educational project, in the educational community, teaching staff and mainly we intend to bring about substantial changes in competences and employability in our higher education students. Our institution has several elements for the correct management of the Erasmus+ programme: action protocol, partner databases, application forms, monitoring report forms and final reports. The Erasmus blog of the institute and Drive allows us to obtain qualitative and quantitative data to carry out the project evaluations, it is also a very powerful dissemination tool where we publish all the activities and actions we do regarding the Erasmus programme. Some of the highlights have been: - The information days have been held, and a wide dissemination among the students of the centre. - We have resumed the contacts we had with companies and initiated new relationships with other destinations. - There has been a great involvement and participation of the management team, teaching staff, our partners and collaborators at the destination. - We have expanded the host companies for internships for our students and staff, we have made three new contacts: in Malta, Italy and Austria. - Good teamwork of the staff of the EME, which allows us a correct management, monitoring and evaluation of the project. In conclusion, we can say that the outcome of the project has been highly satisfactory.
