From the IES Politécnico de Vigo, at the beginning of the present project 2022-1-ES01-KA131-HED-000065757, our objective was to provide our students of the Higher Cycles of the IES Politécnico de Vigo (CS Industrial Automation and Robotics, CS Electrotechnical and Automated Systems, CS Building Projects, CS Civil Works Projects, CS Production Programming in Mechanical Manufacturing, CS Prevention of Professional Occupational Risks and CS Industrial Mechatronics) mainly, the opportunity to access both the mandatory internships (FCT) necessary to obtain their degree, as well as the Erasmus project once they graduated. At the same time, we also wanted our students to achieve: - Improve their skills in the language of the destination country. - Integrate into the local culture and be part of an enriching and different professional experience. - Participate in a rewarding experience that highlights the importance of being part of this project. In addition, we aimed to ensure that the teachers and staff of the centre who participated in this project could improve their professional skills through learning by observing the various activities carried out in the companies or training centres where they would carry out their mobility. This would allow them to be at the forefront of their specialties and share the knowledge acquired with the students and other members of the centre, thus introducing new advanced work techniques and methodologies, complementary to those used in their daily work. For this reason, we have sent our students, teachers and staff to the following countries: Germany, Italy, Portugal, Finland and the Netherlands. During this course, I had the opportunity to send two students again; one to the neighbouring country, Portugal, specifically to the company ZF of the Dalphi Meta group. We already have a consolidated relationship with this company and it has been taking students from us for three courses in different locations. In this case, my THIRD promotion as coordinator of international projects was received with enthusiasm. I sent another student to Eindhoven. In this city, we have already sent three classes of students to different companies. In this case, Alberto Fernández went to the company BLUESTAR EUROPE DISTRIBUTION BV where two other colleagues were last year. It was not possible to send more students from the Erasmus higher cycle due to different reasons. The main one is the very small amount of their grants that barely covers the flight and the first month of their stay. In my case, it is difficult to explain all the advantages after the fact of this whole experience to both those from the higher cycle and those from FP. Another huge problem is finding accommodation, which if you manage to find it is practically prohibitive. For all this, another three students who initially signed up and passed the selection, backed out for the reasons mentioned above.
