Objectives

By implementing the Erasmus+ project, the consortium formed by Altaviana and EFA Torrealedua had as its main objective to improve the training of its participants through international experiences that would not only improve their technical skills, but also foster their personal growth, expand their network of professional contacts, and prepare them for the challenges of a European labor market. In addition, it was intended to advance the internationalization strategy of both institutions, strengthening their capacity to cooperate at a European level and opening up new opportunities for collaboration in the future. For Altaviana, the project was focused on providing its students in the higher cycle of hospitality and tourism with an opportunity to do internships in companies in various European countries, where they could develop both specific skills in their areas, as well as the acquisition of intercultural skills that would allow them to be more adaptable and receptive in the work environment. In particular, the mobilities of the students of kitchen management and tourist accommodation management sought to promote their knowledge in topics of digitalization, sustainability, energy efficiency, and the use of innovative technologies in their respective sectors. Internships in European hotels and restaurants not only helped to improve their technical training, but also allowed them to better understand European practices in management, organisation and new trends in their fields. The long-term goal was to increase the students' employability and open up new job opportunities for them at a European level. For the teachers who participated in the mobilities, the objective was to learn about daily kitchen operations, menu planning, food presentation techniques, and new culinary trends. Through this experience, it was hoped that the teachers would be able to apply this knowledge in the classroom, thus modernising the training they offer their students. In the case of EFA Torrealedua, although student mobilities were not carried out, participation in the consortium was key to establishing international links and strengthening collaboration networks at a European level. In their case, the project aimed to consolidate the bases for future mobilities, developing the centre's capacity for international cooperation and aligning with its internationalisation strategy.
