Objectives

This project continues the work of Pablo de Olavide University (UPO) in mobility with non-associated third countries during the 2018, 2019, and 2020 editions. In 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Program was not launched, so the initial phase focused on preparatory activities. The project aimed to include three new regions, strengthening existing networks and consolidating results with countries in the Southern Mediterranean (Region 3). However, no activities were carried out in the Russian Federation (Region 4) or Sub-Saharan Africa (Region 9). Actions in Region 3 focused on Morocco and Egypt, reinforcing the institution’s historical ties with the Maghreb in promoting European values and the principles of the ECHE charter. In Region 10 (Latin America), the budget was exceeded due to UPO’s longstanding connections and staff interest, further supported by the shared language. Mobilities were carried out to Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Israel, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia, and Ecuador. Of the 57 planned mobilities (31 students, 26 staff), 47 were completed (24 students, 23 staff), with a budget execution rate exceeding 84%, which was positively assessed given the circumstances.
