The University of Extremadura considers internationalization a strategic pillar for its development and modernization, as outlined in its Strategic Plan. This project continues previous collaborations with universities in China (since 2015) and Central America (since 2018). The main objectives of the project are: 1. Consolidating mobility and educational cooperation activities initiated in previous projects. 2. Strengthening the internationalization of UEx and its partner universities through the exchange of students, faculty, and technical staff. 3. To promote European values and the horizontal priorities of the programme. 4. Providing educational opportunities for students and academics in economically and socially disadvantaged situations. 5. Encouraging interaction between diverse educational and social contexts to identify academic and scientific cooperation projects that improve the educational systems of participating institutions. 6. Training specialized talent that can apply acquired knowledge in their home countries and improve participants’ employability. 7. Supporting institutional strengthening of participating higher education institutions (improving their curricula, enhancing teaching capacity, etc.)
