Objectives

The University of Burgos (UBU) considers internationalization one of its strategic pillars and takes part in the European Alliance RUN-EU. Through this project, UBU sought to open new avenues of cooperation with non-associated countries, strengthening established ties with institutions in Argentina and Brazil and exploring Sub-Saharan Africa through collaboration with two universities in Côte d’Ivoire. After coordinating three KA107 projects, a strategy was designed to prioritize quality in implementation and network consolidation. The project focuses on two areas: Latin America, with four prestigious institutions promoting joint research, doctoral programs, thesis co-supervision, and collaboration in STEM; and Côte d’Ivoire, where interest in the Spanish language and STEM has fostered an emerging partnership with strong potential. Mobility actions have been promoted for doctoral students in Latin America and undergraduate Spanish students in Côte d’Ivoire, as well as staff mobilities for teaching and training. The project also reinforces strategic policies on sustainability, digitalization, and inclusion, while ensuring wide dissemination of Erasmus and its results within and beyond the institution.
