The international vocation of the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) is reflected in its Statutes, which cite among its competences and priorities: ‘The promotion of international mobility and the exchange of teachers and students at the international level, specifically within the framework of the EHEA’. It remains committed to following the guidelines set out by the European Commission to increase both the quality and number of exchanges within the Erasmus+ programme, in which it has participated since its inception with very high mobility figures. Its main objectives are: - To encourage student mobility, especially at doctoral level. - To promote the mobility of teaching staff for teaching purposes, given the added value that international activities bring to the accreditation and professional career of teaching and research staff and their work in the internationalisation of the UCM university community. - To promote staff mobility for training purposes. - To encourage academic and research collaborations with partner institutions in order to develop joint projects.
