The main objectives have been to strengthen inter-university cooperation and research ties by enhancing the scientific capacities of the participating institutions; to promote the exchange of best practices, knowledge, and experiences through the mobility of students as well as teaching and administrative staff; and to establish solid scientific, organizational, and administrative foundations that enable the development of all types of mobility. The project sought to open new avenues of collaboration tailored to the needs and priorities of each institution, while at the same time fostering engagement with diverse cultural perspectives that often remain underexplored, and contributing to the integration and development of higher education institutions in strategic regions such as Sub-Saharan Africa. In particular, this project has placed special emphasis on supporting the Ukrainian academic community, as a demonstration of the firm rejection of the invasion and the devastation suffered in the country. Within this framework, collaborations with Ukrainian higher education institutions have been expanded and reinforced, leading, among other initiatives, to the creation of joint degree programmes.
