Background

The ceramics represent the cultural heritage of each country, it is a means of expressing and fulfilling oneself, feeling better personally and serves to preserve and value a symbolic element of cultural identity. Also, it is considered as an activity with a great impact on the community because it allows learning about cultural heritage to participants by strengthening ties with the community. For this reason, we decided to apply this project into our communities in Madrid, Athenas, and Rossano especially with vulnerable adults with few opportunities to integrate socially. With the project we wanted to build a bridge between the currently most vulnerable target group- adults and the sector that provides most inspiration for resilience (art and culture sector). The project responds to emerging social needs by offering a space for creation and social participation for vulnerable adults. Through collaboration with entities specialized in gender, legal and psychosocial issues, the project addresses the lack of resources to ensure emotional well-being and social participation. Through creative and inclusive processes, training and networks of support are fostered in a safe and secure environment.
