Objectives

The ILIS project had several key objectives: 1. Improve socio-labor insertion skills: The project aimed to enhance the skills of adults at risk of social, labor, and financial exclusion, enabling them to re-enter the workforce as employees or entrepreneurs. 2. Enhance digital and financial literacy: The project sought to improve participants' digital competencies and financial literacy to better equip them for the modern job market and financial independence. 3. Develop a digital course: A core objective was to design and implement a user-friendly digital course tailored to the needs of vulnerable groups, equipping them with necessary skills for their access to employment or self-employment opportunities. 4. Raise awareness and foster collaboration: The project aimed to raise awareness about the challenges faced by long-term unemployed individuals and foster collaboration among stakeholders to address this issue and promote entrepreneurship as a way of labor insertion. By empowering participants with the necessary skills and knowledge, the project aimed to promote social inclusion and improve the financial well-being of vulnerable adults.

Background

We applied for the ILIS project to address the gaps in employability and entrepreneurship among vulnerable long-term unemployed adults in Europe, particularly women at risk of exclusion. The project aimed to tackle the critical need for innovative educational methodologies to provide practical skills and knowledge, enhancing participants' chances of securing employment or starting their own businesses. The primary needs addressed included: 1. High Unemployment Rates: Target groups faced significant challenges in finding stable employment due to long-term unemployment and lack of relevant skills. 2. Gender Disparities: Women, especially those in vulnerable situations, faced additional barriers to employment and entrepreneurship opportunities. 3. Educational Gaps: Flexible, inclusive educational programs were needed to accommodate diverse learning needs and schedules. 4. Social Exclusion: Many participants were at risk of social exclusion, hindering their ability to integrate into the labor market. By leveraging Erasmus+ support, we sought to create a program combining in-person workshops and online itineraries to maximize accessibility and effectiveness, fostering a more inclusive and supportive learning environment.
