The objectives initially proposed for the development of the project were the following: 1. Identify and understand the causes of the environmental and social problems that affect our planet and our immediate environment, as described by the "Sustainable Development Goals" of the 2030 Agenda. 2. Raise awareness and acquire good practices for the protection and improvement of the social and natural environment to achieve the "Sustainable Development Goals" of the 2030 Agenda. 3. Internationalize education in schools through collaboration with other countries within the framework of eTwinning and the Erasmus+ community. With the execution of the Project, we hoped that the students would learn to recognize the main environmental problems, the impact of human beings and the social inequalities that currently affect their immediate environment and the environment of other countries. It was also our hope that the different Educational Communities would acquire good practices directed towards improvement of the surrounding environment, and therefore diminishing our negative impact on Europe's natural and social environment.
The project was requested because it was innovative and because of the possibility of sharing experiences with European schools. The starting point was the consideration that part of our students presented a lack of responsible and sustainable attitudes and habits, especially in the personal, family and school spheres. On the other hand, teachers also needed to improve sustainable and pedagogical actions in their teaching practice, and it was considered that this project would be a great opportunity to exchange good practices with partner countries, as well as contribute to raising awareness among students and teachers about the environmental and social impact of aspects of their daily and educational actions and thus be able to improve them. In general, the entire Educational Community of our schools could also benefit from this project, through raising awareness and incorporating good sustainable practices that are respectful of the natural and social environment in their lives and daily routines. The needs addressed have been related to the development of activities aimed at creating environmental and social awareness in the different educational communities of Spain, Italy and Croatia according to the Sustainable Development
