Objectives

The objectives of the project were: Motivate learning, develop digital competencies, and improve academic outcomes of music students aged 8 to 12, enhancing inclusion in elementary music education. Train music teachers in the effective integration of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) into teaching-learning methodologies, strengthening their teaching profile to enhance the educational response provided to students studying elementary music education. Create high-quality materials and tools for the use of ICT and their integration into elementary music education, facilitating the transition to digital environments. The project objectives were directly linked to the selected priorities: addressing digital transformation, supporting teachers, and promoting inclusion and diversity. The project aimed to innovate education through digital methodologies, developing resources for teaching musical language and instruments.

Background

The project was initiated to address digital transformation in the context of teaching and learning music. To tackle the challenges of today's society, it is necessary to address digital transition in these contexts as well. Educating students to be digitally competent can enhance their academic success, contribute to their personal development, and in the long term, improve their employability, access to higher qualified positions, and full participation in society. The project stemmed from the need to update pedagogical methods in music to the digital age, addressing the lack of digital competence and motivation in students, the need for pedagogical training for teachers, and the diversity of applications for music education.
