Background

Migrants’ health is a critical concern for European societies, as the challenges of the migration process often adversely impact their physical and mental well-being. Digital health solutions, such as health apps, have the potential to be transformative tools for improving the self-management of migrants’ and refugees’ health. This project was conceived to harness the power of these apps to enhance migrants' social inclusion, integration into local communities, and equitable access to health systems. By providing a training methodology, a dedicated platform, and a co-designed health app tailored to the specific needs of end-users, the project aimed to bridge the gap between migrants and accessible healthcare resources. The key needs addressed by the project included: • Developing migrants' digital skills to empower them in adopting and utilizing health apps effectively. • Facilitating social inclusion by enabling migrants to navigate healthcare systems and integrate into host communities. • Enhancing access to high-quality learning opportunities for adult migrants, focusing on healthcare literacy and digital competence. • Raising awareness among stakeholders at national and EU levels
