Objectives

The Integra-arte project was developed between 18/06/2023 - 23/06/2023 with the aim of developing and enhancing the soft skills of young people, as well as promoting integration and solidarity between young people from different countries (Spain, Italy and Malta) and with different backgrounds. To this end, the project offered practical theatre and artistic expression workshops that allowed young people to gain experience in recognising their interpersonal skills, such as assertiveness, self-control, emotional management, problem solving, self-image and active listening. Theatre was used as a tool for individual and social transformation to help young people address personal and social problems and conflicts that arise in various communities. The project focused on working through artistic expression and communication tools. Emphasis was placed on active listening and assertive communication, avoiding value judgements and misinterpretations. Theatre was positioned as a central instrument for this work, enabling both individual and social transformation and facilitating new forms of reflection and expression. The project used a combination of theoretical and practical training using non-formal methodologies. The end result was the creation of a collaborative performance piece by the group of young participants from the three countries involved in the project, as well as a booklet on the SALTO platform as a tangible result of their collective creative efforts.
