With this project we wanted to promote reflection, debate and creativity among young people to explore and imagine new forms of democratic participation in their youth organisations. One of the goals of the project was to empower them with new knowledge and resources so that they become agents capable of advocating for their democratic participation in society. Furthermore, by implementing an international youth exchange, we wanted to promote intercultural awareness and personal, cultural and political development in a diverse environment with young people from different backgrounds and experiences. We defined our objectives based on the detected interests and needs of young people from the participating organisation. The main objectives were defined to respond to the interests and problems of young people, such as having a real participation and decision-making power, learning new tools of non-formal education or working on the emotional perspective and mental health from youth organisations. One of the interests was also to get to know the realities of other young volunteers in youth and educational associations, as well as being the protagonists of their own learning process. Thus, the objectives of the project were: - To offer a space for dialogue, reflection and exchange between young people from different non-formal education organisations in order to reflect on which values we educate and how we work different ways of democratic participation. - To explore, imagine and implement new ways of democratic participation in youth organisations. - Empower and enable young participants to be agents of change and increase their critical spirit. - Create spaces to promote intercultural awareness and reinforce the values of solidarity, equality and respect. - To support the personal, cultural and political development of young people through reflection, debate and ludic activities.
